FAQ

Why does my fishing line snap instantly?

This happens when the fish is too heavy for your rod. Every rod has a hidden “Max Weight” stat. If you try to catch deep-sea whales with a Plastic Rod, the line will break. You need to upgrade to a Steel Rod or Magma Rod to handle heavier fish.

Which is better: The Ghostfinn Rod or the Ares Rod?

It depends on your goal. The Ghostfinn Rod has the highest Luck, making it best for catching Mythicals for your Index. However, the Ares Rod is much faster. Most players prefer the Ares Rod for general gameplay and the Ghostfinn only for hunting specific rare fish.

If I buy a new rod, do I lose my old one?

No. All purchased rods are saved in your Inventory (Backpack). You can switch between them anytime. For example, switch to the Carbon Rod for speed leveling, then switch to the Magma Rod when visiting the Volcano.
