How to Get the Diamond Rod?
The Diamond Rod isn’t available simply by purchasing it from a store. Instead, players must complete a specialized questline tied to a new NPC called the Diamond Researcher.
- Unlock/Equip a high-tier rod first (e.g., Element Rod or another late-game rod).
- Head to Fisherman’s Island and locate the Mutation Cellar — identifiable by a large diamond poster at the entrance.
- Speak to the Diamond Researcher NPC inside to begin the quest for the Diamond Rod.
- Complete several objectives for the researcher. Common tasks reported by players include:
- Catch a certain Secret Fish in the Coral Reefs.
- Perform 1,000 Perfect Throws.
- Catch another Secret Fish in the Tropical Grove.
