Bobbers

In the Roblox Fish It game, “Bobbers” and “Bait” mean the same thing. An important item that plays a vital role the the quality of catch. Without having a proper combination of Rod + Bait, you won’t be able to progress fast enough. It is essential to upgrade your Rods as well as Bait side by side to level up faster in the game. A good combination of both increases your attributes like Luck, Mutation Chance, Shiny Chance, and Bonus XP.

Fishing Rod determines the base power, while Bobber determines the kind of fish you can catch. So if you are having a Level 1 Rod + God Tier Bait, you can still catch a Mythical fish.

You can check our guide on All Rods in Fish It to know more about different rods in the game. The guide has detailed info on all the rods and a pathway of progression. That will guide you which rods in best on which level. This will ease your task of levelling up without wasting your money on expensive items.

How Bobbers Works?

There are two types of Bobbers in Fish It. One is consumables, they are meant for single use. For example, if you purchase 10 Worms, then you get only 10 casts. After this, the game automatically switches to “infinite bobbers”. Stat Modifiers are the second type of bobbers that boost rod stats. Here are the effects of stat modifiers bait in Roblox Fish It.

  • Luck: Boost chances of getting High Rarity fishes. Like Mythical or Legendary.
  • Lure Speed: Speed up fish catching, reduces wait time before the fish bites the cast.
  • Mutation Chance: Increase chances of Shiny, Gold, or Neon variants.

Bobbers can be easily purchased from generator stores. They are commonly found on many islands. Like on Fisherman Island, Rod Store, Bobbers Store, Rod Skin Store, and the Store where you sell fish are in the same line. You can unlock some rare ones from the Travelling Merchant. They sometimes randomly visit the island and sell God Tier baits. Another way to get strong baits is through redeeming Fish It codes. Check the link for the latest codes.

In the above table, you can see the baits from the Low tier to the God Tier. Having a God Tier boat is highly important in Fish It. You can level up really fast if you have good bait. You can buy it directly from the NPC selling bobbers. Later, you can travel to different islands using Boats, to catch more rare fish.

Best Bobbers by Level

Here is are list of bobbers by player level. If you are just starting, then follow this progression path. You can unlock the bobbers as per your level and save money for better ones.

  • Level 1 – 20: Infinite, Fish Head, Cricket & Worm.
  • Level 20 – 60: Carbon, Midnight Bait & Floral Bait.
  • Level 60 – 100: Dark Matter & Royal Bait.
  • Level 100+: Signularity Bait.

You can start with Infinite and purchase a Cricket or Worm to level up fast. At starting levels, speed matters; the quality of fish will increase over time. As you cross Level 60, you will have to save money to buy better baits. When you reach the God Tier level, that is when you have Singularity Bait. Make sure you do not waste it on common fish. It is best for catching the rarest fish in the game, like the Kraken. Here are some scenario-based Bobbers recommendations.

  • Money Farming: Royal Bait if you have enough coins. Or else stick with Worm bait.
  • XP Farming: Equip an infinite bobber and farm for hours to catch a ton of fish.
  • Raw Luck: Singularity Bait, speed doesn’t matter here.

FAQ

Do Bobbers run out forever?

Yes (except for the Infinite Bobber). Most baits, like Worms or Singularity Bait are “consumables.” If you buy x10, you get 10 casts. Once they are used up, the game automatically switches you back to the default Infinite Bobber.

What is the best bait for catching a Kraken or Mythical?

Singularity Bait is the best choice because it adds +380% Luck. If you cannot afford that, Royal Bait (+130%) is a good alternative. Never use “Speed” baits (like Worms) when hunting Mythicals, as they don’t help with rarity.

Can I use bait while AFK fishing?

You can, but it is not recommended. You will burn through your stack of expensive bait in a few minutes. Always use the Infinite Bobber for AFK sessions so your character keeps fishing all night without stopping.
